OXFORD, MS (WMC) -

The Tigers went to Oxford and gave their best effort, but the Rebels were too much.

Ole Miss jumped out to a quick lead with a 14-0 lead and would never trail again.

The Rebels would take a three-score lead into halftime, but like has happened many times this year, they struggled out of halftime.

Memphis pulled together some scores with their quick-attacking offense, making it a one score game in the third quarter.

However, Ole Miss would pour it on from there, putting up 48 points and making the scoreboard look like a rout.

Memphis was plagued by turnovers, with QB Riley Ferguson tossing three interceptions while Chad Kelly threw one.

Both teams had 4 touchdowns apiece on the ground, but the Rebels dominated the ground game with 263 yards rushing to Memphis’ 119.

Memphis received its first loss of the season as they move to conference play with a 3-1 record. OIe Miss, meanwhile, moves to 3-2 with a pair of top-5 losses.
