TAMPA, FL (WMC) -

Former Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch got his first taste of regular-season NFL action.

When incumbent starting QB Trevor Siemian went down with an injury, the Broncos called upon Lynch to get some snaps, and he helped deliver a win for his team.

Paxton took over in the 2nd quarter, and finished the game completing 14-of-24 passing for 170 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions.

Lynch’s Broncos made easy work of the Buccaneers, who were held scoreless after the first quarter as 2nd-year QB Jameis Winston was picked off twice.

Denver picked up a 27-7 win.
