MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The Memphis hotel with a Legionnaires’ Disease outbreak is set to reopen Wednesday.

Shelby County Health Department said La Quinta Inn & Suites will reopen October 5. The hotel will continue to work with SCHD and maintain a water maintenance plan to ensure the safety of its customers.

The hotel, located in the 2900 block of Millbranch Road, was shut down September 22 after five suspect cases were discovered. Since then, doctors have identified a total of seven confirmed cases of the disease. They said there were 19 probable cases of the disease.

SCHD said it will continue to monitor the hotel for the next six months. It will also take action as needed for the benefit of public health.
