MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A security guard stopped and detained a man who police said robbed and kidnapped someone two months ago.

Toure McLaurin is in jail on a $50,000 bond.

Memphis Police Department had been trying to find McLaurin for two months. They say he robbed and kidnapped a man he met on a social media app called "Meet Me."

Police say McLaurin picked up his victim in July and told him he had a knife and a gun. He then proceeded to rob him before forcing him to withdraw money from an ATM and buy him gas for his car.

Two months later, a security guard checking IDs at Ten Mile Creek Apartments recognized McLaurin. The security guard then detained McLaurin until police arrived and arrested him.
