Days of searching and investigating for a missing mother left investigators empty handed and loved ones devastated.

As investigators dug up a concrete slab in the search for a missing Hickory Hill mother, her family and friends were hopeful investigators would discover clues in Keila Freeman's disappearance.

Keila's family and friends said they had mixed feelings after they heard her body was not found underneath the cement. But, they said they have not given up and will continue to search for her Saturday.

"Mixed emotions, because I want her to show up," Billy Guillo said.

Guillo lives next door to the home where Freeman disappeared early September. She remembers that morning and watching police search the area around her home. Now, she said Thursday brought back all those memories as she watched police dig through concrete.

I watched all of it and had this feeling of anticipation and a feeling of dread," Guillo said.

But, police found nothing after searching for hours and slowing removing pieces of concrete like a puzzle--a puzzle that has left family and friends with many questions.

"I don't have a lot of hope," Guillo said.

Family and friends will be continuing to search to Keila on Saturday. They plan to walk Holmes Road and search additional areas of Binghampton and Whitehaven. But, neighbors like Guilla said what hurt the most was watching Keila's parents come to their home and pick up beds for her babies earlier this week.

"It's kind of final for them," Guillo said. "I'm sorry that hurt me to see. He said I'm just here to get the babies' crib. I can't imagine how he feels. I can't."
