MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

U.S. Attorney Edward L. Stanton III said a Memphis man has been sentenced to 170 years for creating child pornography.

According to the press release, Terrence Milam, 37, created child pornography and engaged in sexually explicit conduct with two prepubescent females.

Prosecutors said Milam produced photographs and videos of himself sexually abusing two female minors between October 2013 and January 2015 using a smartphone.

An MPD officer discovered Milam and one of the children parked in a deserted school parking lot while the officer was on routine patrol. The officer saw Milam struggling with his pants.

According to the press release, Milam's abuse of the two children started when one of the victims was 9 years old and the other was 11.

Milam entered an Alford plea in July to five counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

He was sentenced to 170 years in federal prison on Friday.
