MPD release pictures of hotel murder suspects

Memphis police are searching for a man they said is connected to murder at a Memphis hotel.

Police said the murder happened at America’s Best Value Inn in the 3800 block of American Way on Thursday.

Investigators said two men enter the room of the victim, Carlton Snipes, and robbed and killed him.

Officers said of the suspects, Joshua Winters was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder in perpetration of robbery.

Police said the second suspect left the scene of the crime. He is described as a black man between 6’2”-6’4” tall, thin build, medium complexion with a low haircut and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a purple shirt, blue/gray cargo shorts, and white shoes.

Investigators said the suspect was captured on surveillance cameras at the hotel as he went inside the victim’s room.
