A teenager is on a special mission to help the works of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the fight against childhood cancer.

Normally, you would hear of teen's wanting elaborate gifts for their 16th birthday. However, one teen girl is making the decision to give hers away.

Tuesday is Grace Ruble's 16th birthday. Other kids her age hope for a car, but she wanted to bring her gifts to the children at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

"We gave a whole van load of toys away, and we gave $5,600," Grace Ruble said.

She said it all started when she saw the commercials.

"I'd seen the commercials when I was little and because they were kids, I want to give back toys," Ruble said.

Her parents, Billy and Tina Little, held a toy drive this past weekend in their hometown of Bluefield, Virginia.
Then, they contacted St. Jude.

The family was soon on their way for the long trip to Memphis.

Soon, they were at the end of their 16-hour trip and were able to deliver the presents and even received a tour of the hospital.

"The joy that we've seen today from the delivery of toys has just been unreal," Billy Little said.

As for Grace, it was a special birthday for her.

"It feels really good. I'm really blessed," Grace said.

And, as for that car most 16-year-old teenagers want on their birthday...

"She'll get that in time. She gets her presents in time," Billy said.

"She's been wanting to do this since she was little, so we just made her dream come true," Tina said.

Now, as part of the birthday wish, they actually get to visit a couple of patients from their hometown who are receiving care at St. Jude.
