MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The man accused of taking a 4-year-old girl from her Florida home waived his rights in a Shelby County court Wednesday and will be extradited to Florida.

West Wild Hogs, formerly known as Matthew Pybus, is charged in the kidnapping of Rebecca Lewis. Monday, an Amber Alert for the child spanned several states. The pair was eventually found in Memphis at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Kaytlin Brown, an employee at the hospital, said she noticed the pair and recognized Rebecca from the Amber Alert picture. She notified her dad, a surgery nurse, and he contacted security. They then called investigators to the scene, who arrested Hogs.

"I want to say thank you to you, because without you, I don't know what this would have been," Lewis' grandmother, Oma Mae Lewis, said.

Rebecca is now home in Florida, where her grateful family threw her a large party.

"Bye, bye. I'm going home," Rebecca Lewis said before returning after three days missing.

"My heart has still not stopped," Oma Mae Lewis said. "It's beating so fast that it's hurting."

It's a happy ending, but two big questions remain: Why were the two at the hospital, and why did Hogs kidnap her?
