For the past 16 years, the Mid-South has come to know the masterful sports reporting and knowledge of WMC sports reporter Carrie Anderson.

On Friday, Anderson presented her last sports report to WMC viewers before heading to her new job at FedEx.

From the Grit N' Grind of the Grizzlies, to the roar of the Memphis Tigers on the football field, Anderson has been there to see it, cover it, and love every minute.

But, when getting those coveted interviews with some of Memphis' star athletes, there is one thing Anderson couldn't go without - her step stool.

Carrie's enthusiasm for the job and the home teams is infectious. From going cross country to cover the Tigers - particularly during the final four - all the way to her Happy Place of watching the Memphis Redbirds or her favorite - St. Louis Cardinals step up to the plate, when it comes to reporting on sports, Carrie has represented the Mid-South.

But don't let her size fool you. She's got a mean golf game that she even got an opportunity to show off when Mirimichi opened in front of its owner, Justin Timberlake.

Of course, how can you forget when she got a chance to meet Emmy Winner Jon Hamm.

But now, although her step stool has carried her to new heights over the last 16 years in sports reporting for the Mid-South, FedEx is certain to carry her to newer ones.

Best wishes Carrie Anderson. WMC and the Mid-South viewers will miss you.
