HOUSTON, TX (WMC) -

The Grizzlies pulled off a thrilling double-overtime win over the Rockets, but fans were given the sobering sight of Marc Gasol exiting the game early.

Gasol exited with an ankle injury after 20 minutes on the court. However, the injury appears to not be serious, as he later returned to the bench. The big man hit 2 out of 3 of his three-point shots as he continues to transform his game.

Instead, it was the young cubs that led the way. Troy Williams led the team with 23 points in 42 minutes as he earned the start at small forward. JaMychal Green started and scored 21 points with 8 rebounds. Newly-acquired Vince Hunter notched a double-double off the bench, with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

Mike Conley kept up his hot shooting, scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals. The point guard shot 3-5 from behind the 3-point line and 8-8 on free throws.

Chandler Parsons again did not play as the Grizz save him for the regular season. Tony Allen, Brandan Wright, and Jarell Martin were also among the Grizz that did not suit up.

Memphis improved to a healthy 4-1 for the preseason. They’ll complete their preseason with a game with a game against the Timberwolves in Minnesota on Wednesday.
