MEMPHIS (RNN / WMC) -

A young Mid-South boy with a cleft lip and cleft palate has a brighter smile thanks to the Shriners, and thanks to a few hundred bikers. The Memphis Law Dogs Motorcycle Club made 10-year-old Sean Hanson an honorary member Saturday after their annual fundraiser for the Shriners Hospitals.

Sean has had 10 surgeries, and the local Shriners have helped he and his family make trips to Cincinnati to see specialists. The Law Dogs raise thousands of dollars every year to help the Shriners pay for expenses for Sean and other kids.

Sean, who goes by "Blue", has been a regular at the annual event, and has become very close with the Law Dogs. Clowns at Shriners gave Sean the nickname "Blue" as a joke, because he has a head of bright red hair. Saturday the Law Dogs, a law enforcement motorcycle club, presented him with a "Law Pups" patch for the motorcycle vest he just got for his 10th birthday.

"If you’re a law pup, that means you’re a law kid, basically," Sean said after the club presented him with the patch.

Joe Peel, the president of the Law Dogs says, the club is happy to help Sean and other kids, “we figured, just, you know, help the kids however we can. You know, it’s turned out good," said Peel, “it’s not about the Law Dogs or anybody else. It’s about raising money for these kids. And I appreciate that.”

“Blue” also just had is 10th birthday. He gave up most of his birthday. He gave back to the Shriner, even having his own T-shirt fundraiser to help out with the cause.

If you'd like to help, you can donate to Shriners Hospitals here.

You can follow "Blue" and his family here to keep up with his journey on Facebook.
