MPD searching for carjacking, robbery suspect

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Memphis Police Department is searching for the person(s) they said is responsible for a carjacking in the 7300 block of Hollorn Lane.

The carjacking happened Sunday just after 3 a.m.

According to police, the victim said he dropped his friend off on Hollorn Lane, and upon backing out of the driveway, a person approached him with a gun.

Police said the victim said the suspect demanded the victim’s cell phone and ordered the victim to get out of his white 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix.

Investigators said the suspect then drove off, followed by a red Ford Mustang that the victim said he noticed while in the 6900 block of Winchester Road.
