MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Comfort dogs do wonders for morale and spirit. They've visited disaster areas like Orlando at the nightclub shooting, or nervous flyers at an airport even with patients at hospitals.

WMC Action News 5 met the newest Memphis comfort dog ‘Job.’ He's a trained LLC k-9 comfort dog out of Christ the King Lutheran Church and School on Park Avenue in Memphis. He's been here just a few weeks and is trained to be a calming influence no matter where he goes.

“We've been to Kirby Pines assisted living and Methodist Hospital to visit a congregational member so he's just getting started,” Barbara Schmidtt with Christ the King Lutheran Church and School said. “We're anxious to get his calendar filled."

Thursday morning, Job and his handlers gave WMC Action News 5 Anchor Andrew Douglas a paw print pink tie for his pink tie campaign supporting breast cancer awareness and raising funds for breast cancer research here in Memphis.
