MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Editorial by Tracey Rogers, Vice President and General Manager of WMC Action News 5.
We are coming up on a big week in the Mid-South as the Memphis International Auto Show kicks off at the Cook Convention Center on Friday, October 28.
This is so much more than just a car show, it kicks off with a Pink Tie Gala that will benefit Susan G. Komen and the fight against breast cancer.
The show will also be a big celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Greater Memphis Auto Dealers Association, not to mention the economic impact the show will produce for the city.
I want to encourage you to make the short drive downtown to see all of the new cars, muscle cars, and there will even be a pink Beetle to mark Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Supporting the Memphis International Auto Show supports Susan G. Komen and the local economy. That makes this A Better Mid-South.
