MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

It finally feels like football season, and just in time for Week 10 of Friday Football Fever! It's the second to last week of the regular season, which means intensity was building as teams jockeyed for position in the upcoming postseason.

Here are some of the highlights from this week's games.

Whitehaven vs. Collierville

Down in Whitehaven, the undefeated Whitehaven Tigers hosted the Collierville Dragons.

The Tigers jumped up to an early lead, with Kylan Watkins making the first of his two touchdown runs for the night. That run was good for more than 70 yards.

The Whitehaven defense was dialed in Friday with 11 tackles for loss in the first half, adding to that number in the second.

Chris Witherspoon made the "want-to" run of the night--he got hemmed in inside the 10, but kept fighting and scored.

Whitehaven kept their perfect record with a 48-3 win.

Hernando High vs. Horn Lake High

Across the border in Mississippi, a showdown took place in Horn Lake between the 8-1 Horn Lake Eagles and the 6-2 Hernando Tigers.

The Tigers were on the prowl as Robert Wilcke rolled out and connected with O.D. Wooten for the first score of the night, bringing Hernando up 7-0.

The Tigers were just getting started when Karlette Oliver got the handoff, making another touchdown and bringing the tigers to 14-0.

The Eagles answered when Tyler Grimm made a terrific run.

Hernando won 42-27.

Brighton High vs. Munford High

Up north in Tipton County, Brighton High and Munford High, both 5-3 teams, faced off.

The Brighton Cardinals were up 13 when Malik Jackson led a quick strike to Aaron Alston, spun outside and dove in for the score, bringing Brighton up 26 to 6.

Munford was in catch-up mode on the fourth down when Brighton's defense came up with the stop.

Brighton got the win, 33-18.

Covington High vs. Millington High

In north Shelby County, the Millington Trojans hosted the Covington Chargers.

Millington was on the move when Tommy Clifton threw into traffic, and the Chargers' Cordarrius Page picked off the pass.

In the next play, Page took the pitch, shed tacklers left and right, and was off for 30 plus yards. That play set up Jamal Mason right up the gut for the Chargers' touchdown.

Covington wins 21-20.

Arlington High vs. Bartlett High

Farther east, the Arlington Tigers battled the Bartlett Panthers.

The Tigers' Tavarious Foster grabbed the toss, ran through a big hole and was in for a score, bringing Arlington up 19-0.

Bartlett answered as JJ Vaden cut it back and found the end zone.

Arlington was too tough for the Panthers; the Tigers won 53-28.
