MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Before the Grizzlies kick off the 2016-2017 NBA season, the team submitted a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Memphis Grizzlies open the season Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but Monday fans got a sneak peek at the team.

Players and coaches got together to meet fans and to help raise money for St. Jude. They also sat down to eat with fans and signed plenty of autographs.

The team raised thousands of dollars for the hospital through an auction. One item, a luncheon with coach David Fizdale, brought in $13,000 for the hospital.
