A man exposed himself to an elementary school student in Frayser, according to Memphis Police Department.

MPD said they received a call around 8 a.m. Wednesday from a person who said they saw a man take his clothes off in front of a student at Frayser Elementary School.

The witness described the suspect and police realized the suspect's description matched that of a person who had inappropriately touched a female student about an hour earlier as she walked to school on North Watkins Street.

Concerned parents said the school needs more security. They said it is not the first time in the past month something like this has happened.

"These kids can't really defend they self or protect they self against dudes like that," Cedric Cunningham said. "See, that's dangerous. They need to have more police or something out here."

Cunningham said they need the additional security now, more than ever, after a similar incident happened close to the school not too long ago.

"One time, they had a little party up here and dude was in a clown suit," Cunningham said. "They chased him on down Watkins."

Some parents said it happened a little too close to home for them.

"Cause they caught him in my backyard," Janie Steele said. "Keep a watch on the kids so they can keep them safe."

"Watch them as much as you can," Cunningham said. "You don't want nothing bad to happen."

Thankfully, police said the children were not hurt.

Police said the suspect is about 5'11 weighing 180 pounds. He has dreadlocks, a goatee and was wearing a red shirt with black and red pajama pants.

MPD said the suspect has not been caught. If you know who the suspect may be, call MPD at 901-545-2677(COPS) immediately.
