MEMPHIS (RNN / WMC) -

A promise was fulfilled Wednesday to a group of Memphis breast cancer survivors. That promise was in the form of a 2,000 dollar donation.

"Carin' and Sharin'" is a Memphis support group for cancer survivors. It provides emotional support and even helps survivors do things like pay doctor bills. The group gets together at the Church Life Center. Wednesday they had special guests, the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. They brought along a big check.

Gwen Brown with "Carin' and Sharin'" was in tears as she accepted the check from Blue Knights president, James "Catdaddy" Malone.

"So you guys should never ever ever say that 'I'm not going to the doctor. I don't have this, I don't have that,' because it's people like these who allow me to do this. And you should give them a round of applause."

The ladies stood up and did just that.

The Blue Knights raised the money during their annual charity ride and will be making donations to other groups as well.
