MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Memphis Cook Convention Center is working on its final preparations for the Memphis International Auto Show.

“We’re putting displays up now. We'll add the cars in and be ready for everyone Friday morning,” organizer Steve Freeman said.

The first show was held in January, but will from now on be held in October under new ownership of Greater Memphis Auto Dealers Association.

"We’ve moved it to a more favorable weather date, and in the auto show cycle, which will always be the last weekend in October," GMADA president Kent Ritchey said.

Everything at the show will be new, and the show will be 30 percent bigger, meaning more cars and more manufacturers.

"We’ve got Mercedes S class here, BMW first time in the show, Porsche, Audi, and we have some exotic cars you won’t see here in town," Freeman said. "There’s a 50th anniversary Camaro. There's the latest 2017 Impreza from Subaru, that’s a pre-pro car that’s not even out yet."

You will be able to test drive all Chrysler and Toyota models right on North Main Street.

Best of all, Ritchey said there is no pressure to buy.

“This will be the most pleasant car shopping experience you’ve ever had,” he said. “This is not a selling show.”
