MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A student said a man tried to abduct her before school. It's a frightening thing for parents to hear, and this may not be the first encounter a Memphis student had with this suspect.

According to Memphis Police Department, the student said a man with dreadlocks grabbed the 16-year-old and tried to lure her into his car in the Kroger parking lot at Frayser Boulevard and Rangeline Road.

She then went to Trezevant High School and asked for help. Parents living near where the incident happened are outraged.

"You creepy, you pathetic, you need to get your (expletive) some help," Autumn Watson, Frayser parent, said. "Running around on the street and me having two boys, that's scary."

It's not the first time this man has been able to get close to students according to neighbors.

Those who live and work in the area said they have seen what looks like this same man in the same Kroger parking lot earlier this week.

They're asking for more police patrols in order to protect children.

MPD released surveillance images believed to be of the suspect and the suspect's car. If you know this man, you are asked to call Memphis Police or Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.

Police said they are working to see if he's the same person who exposed himself to a student outside Frayser Elementary on Tuesday. He may also be the same suspect witnesses said inappropriately touched a girl on Tuesday as she was walking to school on North Watkins Street.

"He's a total (expletive). I don't understand," Gabrielle Cole, Frayser resident, said. "Why would you want a child? You can't go home and get no woman?."
