If you’re in the market for a refrigerated truck, bush hog or some furniture, Friday’s auction of Shelby County Schools’ surplus equipment might be for you.

“Don’t miss the opportunity to buy at your price,” said Jeff Morris, owner of Morris Auction Group, which will conduct the sales on Friday morning, November 4 starting at 9 a.m.

Morris said SCS’s 77 surplus vehicles will go on the auction block first.

“It’ll take about 90 minutes to sell all those trucks and cars; we’ll sell them about one a minute,” Morris said. “For the first time, Shelby County Schools will accept credit cards at this sale; until now it’s been cash only.”

You can get a preview of all the items for sale on Thursday, November 3 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Shelby County Schools warehouse located at 1384 Farmville Road.

After the vehicles sales outside, Morris will move the auction inside the SCS warehouse. Morris Auction Group’s website features the aforementioned refrigerated truck, box trucks, a backhoe, lawnmowers, and automotive equipment.

The auction also features SCS refrigerators, stoves, commercial kitchen equipment, and other appliances. There’s a selection of pianos, children’s furniture, sewing machines, metal, and wood working equipment, as well as desks. You’ll have all day Saturday, November 5 to load your purchases, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
