MPD releases photo of kidnapping suspect

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Memphis Police Department released photos on its website of a man they said stole a vehicle and kidnapped two children.

According to MPD, Monday night a man left his parked vehicle running in the 6700 block of E. Shelby Drive. The vehicle had his two children inside.

The man went inside the gas station to make a purchase. After coming out of the gas station, the man discovered his car and his children were missing.

The suspect who took the car was caught on surveillance video. He drove the 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo south on Ross Road, where he let the two children out.

The children were found and returned to their family, but the suspect remains at large.

The suspect is a black male between 20-27 years old. He was wearing a blue hoodie and blue jeans.

No arrest have been made.
