Memphis man convicted of 38th felony

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A career criminal was convicted of his 38th felony, according to Shelby County District Attorney's Office.

The jury took less than an hour to convict Paul Buchanan, 49, of a robbery that happened in 2013.

The robbery took place at a home on North Claybrook Street on April 13, 2013. During the robbery, Buchanan pointed a gun at the homeowner and took $100 in cash.

In 2015, Buchanan pleaded guilty to more than 24 burglaries and thefts.

On the most recent charges Buchanan could face up to 30 years in prison and 15 years for being a felon with a handgun.
