MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A Mid-South cancer survivor was named the 2017 Hero of Hope.

Latoshia Gladney, a five year cervical cancer survivor, is one of the 30 people throughout six states to receive the honor.

The annual award is given by the American Cancer Society.
