It was Chandler Parsons’ Memphis debut, but it became the C.J. McCollum show.

The Grizzlies' shooting woes continued as they fell to Portland, 100-94.

McCollum, in fact, sank as many threes as the Grizzlies did as a team (six). The guard scored 37 points in 39 minutes.

Parsons, the Grizzlies’ newest acquisition, failed to tally any points and shot 0-for-8 from the floor. He saw less minutes than James Ennis, who had been starting in his stead at small forward.

Ennis actually led the team in minutes tallied with 35.

Marc Gasol led the Grizz in scoring with 21. Mike Conley made up for his poor shooting from distance (1-5) by stuffing the stat sheet with 16 points, four rebounds, seven assists, two steals and two blocks.

Zach Randolph was again hot off the bench, scoring 15 points to go with seven rebounds.

Memphis, as a team, shot under 40 percent for the fourth straight game and were even worse from behind the three-point line (23 percent).

The good news? The Grizz were able to contain red-hot scorer Damian Lillard to 19 points on 3-11 shooting. But McCollum’s big night made this a bit negligible.

The Grizz now sit below .500 for the first time this season at 3-4. They’ll try to recover from a two-game losing streak at home Tuesday night against the Nuggets.
