As election day approaches, the Shelby County Election Commission is getting ready for the rush of voters.

Polls open at 7 a.m. in Tennessee and Mississippi on Tuesday. Arkansas polls will open at 7:30 a.m. Polls in all three states will be open for a full 12 hours.

Residents in Tennessee and Mississippi must bring a photo I.D. to the polls. Arkansas residents do not have to have a photo on their I.D. However, college I.D.'s and photo I.D.'s not issued by the state you live in will not be accepted in any state.

If you don't bring proper identifications, officials will give you a provisional ballot. You'll then have two days after Election Day to return to the election commission with a valid I.D.

Early voting ended Thursday in Tennessee. Arkansas voters can still head to the polls Monday to cast their ballot early.

In Shelby County, more than 242,000 people voted early. Still, officials said you can expect long lines at polling stations.

Pack patience and check our election guide to make sure you go to the correct place and have everything you need to avoid delays.

Once you cast your ballot, take a photo (not in the polling booth) and tag it #WMCandMe on social media to be featured in our collection of "I Voted" selfies.
