MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A Wind Advisory is in place for most of the area through 3 a.m. Monday. A weather system is creating a sharp pressure gradient, which will force wind speeds to increase overnight.
Winds will be sustained out of the northwest at 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph through early Monday morning. It will still be windy throughout the rest of the day on Monday with winds 5-15 mph, but gusts will remain under wind advisory criteria.
This could make driving difficult, especially for large trucks. You should also secure any outdoor items like patio furniture and trash bins.
Wind speeds will drop down significantly after sunset tomorrow, with northwest winds around 5 mph Monday night.
