MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Editorial by Tracey Rogers, Vice President and General Manager of WMC Action News 5:

Good Shepherd Health is opening a free Pharmacy Technician School in the Hickory Hill Mall.

The school offers anyone wanting to be a pharmacy tech the chance to study for the certification exams at no cost.

The Memphis-based non-profit pharmacy will pay for the book and the scrubs--all you have to do is show up.

Certified pharmacy techs can get a starting wage between $15-20 an hour.

What an opportunity! You just need to show up, be engaged and give it all your effort to complete the program.

Now that's what we need more of in the Mid-South. Great opportunities for people who need to kick start their career.

The first round of students begin training this week, but the interview process continues through the end of January.

To find out more about the program, go to my Facebook page, A Better Mid-South. I have posted the information there.

New job opportunities always make this A Better Mid-South.
