DENVER, CO (WMC) -

It took the Grizzlies about four or five minutes to take a significant lead on the Nuggets on Wednesday night, but they never relinquished it when they did.

Memphis was the better team from start to finish in Denver and took home a commanding 119-99 victory.

All-Star center Marc Gasol led his team in scoring with 24 despite playing well under his season average in minutes with just 24.

Mike Conley followed up his monster game in Phoenix with a solid line of 18 points on 50 percent shooting.

Team basketball was the key as five Grizzlies scored in double-digits, including Vince Carter, Zach Randolph, and oft-forgotten James Ennis off the bench.

Somewhat miraculously, the Grizz were at full strength for the game, with nary a name on the injury report.

It should be noted that Denver was without budding star center Nikola Jokic, who did not play with a hip injury.

The win marked Memphis’s 30th on the season to just 21 losses.

They sit a distant third place in the Southwest division, but have a comfortable distance from the 8th seed in the West.

The Grizz have now won three games in a row, their most since rallying off a sixth straight win on December 10.
