Officers chase stolen car downtown, Job fair alert, Freeze warning, Free Wifi at FedEx forum, new scams

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Happy Wednesday morning!

Here are some of the stories we're following right now:

We're following updates on a high speed chase through downtown... Less than 24 hours ago, an off-duty officer spotted some people trying to break into cars in the parking lot of Bass Pro.  That's when the chase began.  it involved two police officers and at least one stolen car... It ended with a car crashing into a wall.  2 teen suspects were caught.  One of the other cars was able to get away.

Two job fairs to tell you about..the first starting next week. More than 30 school operators will be at the Kroc Center in Midtown on March 23rd to fill positions. Then Memphis International Airport is hosting a job fair that will include 15 different airport employers the first week of April. You find  more details this morning.

It seems like we warn you of a new scam every day, but a new report from the better business bureau says the riskiest scams happen, not online, but face to face. We'll explain what else the BBB is warning people this morning.

It's what fans have been waiting for when they go to a game at FedExForum...free wifi!! Now that wish has become a reality. Comcast announced a partnership with the Memphis Grizzlies to bring a three-gigabyte fiber connection to the arena.

An incredible total just released..Dolly Parton's "My People Fund" has issued monthly checks to 921 people who lost their homes in the East Tennessee wildfires.WOW!
