Arkansas police make another arrest in counterfeiting ring

FORREST CITY, Ark. - Police in Forrest City have made another arrest in a counterfeiting investigation.

Twenty-five-year-old Rufus Hicks Junior was picked up Monday night. He's accused of passing counterfeit bills at a convenience store.

Hicks is the fourth person charged in a lengthy investigation in Forrest City into the passing of fake $100 and $20 bills. The probe has been going on since April, and the phony bills have been showing up all over the city. Three people were arrested earlier.

Police say the counterfeiters used a computer to generate the bills and did a poor job -- all the bills have the same serial number and the bills are amateurishly cut. The fake 20s have a serial number of EC65248652B. The phony 100s have the serial number of AF77839470A. The bills don't have the same feel that real money has.

Police are still seeking information in the case and more arrests are possible.
