MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - One person was killed and two others injured after a shooting in the 5800 block of Foxdale Road.
The shooting happened just before 6 p.m. Wednesday and left a father of three dead. Another person was also rushed to the hospital in critical condition, and a 15-year-old was also shot, but their conditions are unknown.
Family members identified the man as 25-year-old Theodis Pitchford. They said he cheated death a couple of years ago during a high-profile case.
Pitchford is the same man who was shot in the chest at Oak Court Mall in 2014. Police said the shooting stemmed from an argument between two groups inside the mall.
One of them started shooting and hit Pitchford. According to his family, he almost died at that time but survived.
A neighbor, who did not want to be identified, said several people were on Foxdale shooting at each other.
"Two or three of them were outside. The car, evidently, one that was in the car came back and got one of the guys and jumped in the car and sped off," the neighbor said.
After that, neighbors saw a body in the road.
"My sister, a nurse, immediately came down and to see what she could do for the victim, but it was too late," the neighbor said.
The victim's family gathered at the scene in disbelief.
"I can't believe that ever happened. That's my little brother that's lying out there," one family member said.
Police do not have a suspect description at this time.
