The Memphis Grizzlies wasted no time signing their top pick in the draft. 6'9" inch Hakim Warrick is the proud owner of his first NBA contract. It's a 2 year deal, with the Grizzlies holding options on a third and fourth year.
He played four seasons at Syracuse, averaging 15 points, 8 rebounds and was the Big East player of the year this past season. Warrick had a double-double for the Grizzlies Friday night in his first Summer League game, a 93-85 win over the Lakers.
Warrick and the Grizzlies play again Sunday night in Los Angeles at 5pm.
