Germantowns' Roberts Leads Sr. British Open

It may not be appropriate yet to change golfer Loren Roberts nickname from 'Boss of the Moss' to 'Gray Beard of the Greens'...

But you can call Germantowns' own the Leader of the Senior British Open.

Roberts, who just turned 50 last month, celebrates his debut on the Champions Tour by shooting a 1-over par 72 at Royal Aberdeen in Scotland.

That's good for a 1-stroke lead over Craig Stadler and 4-others..

Roberts stole the show from Greg Norman, another 50-year old in his Senior Debut.

Norman, who came in 60th in last weeks' British Open, struggled in the win and shot a 76...

The Blustery conditions made for tough putting for the usually sure handed Roberts..

He had 5-bogeys and a double-bogey, but also came through with 6-birdies.

5-time Open Champ Tom Watson cards a 75..while Tom Kite ballooned with an 83.
