Grizzlies fans wanted some action in the off-season and they're getting it. The Houston Chronicle is reporting the Grizzlies have deal in place to acquire Portland Trailblazers guard Damon Stoudamire once the trading moratorium is lifted.
It's a 4 year, 17 million dollar deal sources say, that will end the Rockets chances of luring Stoudamire to Houston. The Rockets fell out of contention for his services because of salary cap issues.
The free agent averaged 16 points, 6 assists for the Trailblazers last year. The deal would pave the way to deal Jason Williams and/or lose Earl Watson to free agency.
