Woman captures theft on personal security camera

For Edith Woods, the crime she caught on the camera mounted outside her home is like a scene out of a bad movie.  The video is grainy but you can see the unidentified man drive up and calmly remove all 4 hubcaps off of her son's taxi cab.

"They range something like 200 dollars," she said.  "Wasn't nothing like them spinners or nothing like that.  They range about 200 dollars on a car."
Woods said her husband mounted the camera on the front of the house about a year ago to deter thieves from breaking in.  He got the idea from neighborhood watch members in the area.  Woods said every home owner should have a camera for protection.

"Even the police officer came down and he said 'Ms. Woods, I'm going to get me a camera like this.' He said you got something going on I said sure is it will save your life."

The thief drove off with the the cab's hubcaps.  Police investigating the crime hope Woods' tape can lead to some solid clues.  Meanwhile, Woods is telling everyone who will listen that watching out for others is the best way to protect your neighborhood.
