MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

One-year-old Robin Keefer was shot and killed in Memphis on Friday morning.

The shooting happened inside her mother's home at Cedar Mill Apartments in southeast Memphis.

The infant was rushed to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in critical condition, where she later died.

Memphis Police Department said 25-year-old Shawn Moore was arrested and charged with criminally negligent homicide, convicted felon in possession of a handgun, and tampering with evidence.

Investigators say Robin was placed in bed, and Moore also laid his firearm on the bed.

Witnesses say they heard a gunshot and discovered she had been hit.

Moore took the gun and ran from the scene. He later turned himself in to police.

The investigation revealed that Robin was accidentally shot by her 3-year-old sibling with Moore’s firearm.

Moore is scheduled to appear in court Monday, Nov. 13 at 9 a.m.

You'd think 28 wins over the last three years would enough for a program to feel pretty good about itself going into a new college football season, especially for a program that had trouble just sniffing any victories a few season ago.
