Voters are at the polls today for a special election primary.
The election will help fill the Senate seat left vacant by former Senator John Ford.. And the house seat left vacant by Kathryn Bowers. Bowers' seat became vacant when she won a special election to the Senate.
However they were both indicted in the Operation Waltz Corruption Scandal.
Running for Senate District 29 are...Democrats Representative Henri Brooks, Representative Barbara Cooper, Representative John DeBerry, Jennings Bernard, John Brown, Laura Davis, Ophelia Ford, Stephen Haley, and Kevin McLellan along with Republicans Terry Roland and John Farmer.
Tonight there will be a Democratic winner...and a Republican winner. They will face off in a September General Election.
The winner of the House District 87 race today is the winner.
