New school year means new schools for some

A school year started today for Memphis City Schools.
And for many students that means a whole new school.
Earlier this spring, the district voted to merge eight schools into four.

Students from Walker Elementary are headed to Ford Road.

Locke Elementary students will move to Georgia Avenue Elementary.

Stafford kids will now go to Cummings Elementary

And Dunn students will go to Norris Elementary.
School leaders say the mergers will help the district save five million dollars annually.
