Fugitive couple headed back to Tennessee

Officials in Columbus, Ohio, confirm former Tennessee fugitives George and Jennifer Hyatte have been turned over to the U-S Marshal's Service.

Marshals will return the couple to Roane County to face murder charges.

In Kingston, Roane County Sheriff's Captain Fay Hall said this morning that office had not yet been notified by the marshals when the Hyattes were being brought back.

George Hyatte is a state prisoner. His wife, Jennifer, is accused of fatally shooting corrections officer Wayne "Cotton" Morgan August ninth as George Hyatte was being walked from the courthouse to a prison van.

He is an inmate at Brushy Mountain Correctional Complex and would have been returned there after the court hearing preceding his escape.

Hall said this morning that when the Hyattes arrive in Kingston, they'll be booked into the jail, photographed, fingerprinted -- then taken before a judge for arraignment.
