Aruban Prime Minister criticizes investigation August 22, 2005 at 4:48 PM CDT - Updated July 2 at 12:30 AM The mother of the 18-year-old American missing in Aruba says Aruba's prime minister absolutely agrees with her that the initial investigation of her disappearance was badly botched. Beth Holloway Twitty spoke this morning on NBC. Her daughter, Natalee, has been missing since May 30th. Holloway Twitty and Prime Minister Nelson Oduber met over the weekend to talk about the case. An Aruban government spokesman says the prime minister expressed concern about the investigation, but didn't use the word "botched." Oduber has told reporters he has assured Holloway Twitty that investigators will not stop trying to learn what happened to her daughter.
