Roscoe Dixon appears in federal court

A former Senator indicted in the Tennessee Waltz Corruption scandal appeared in court today.

Roscoe Dixon's appearance in Federal Court this morning was brief.

The judge asked about setting a trial date.

The federal prosecutor asked for more time.

So the judge set another hearing for the end of September.

As for Barry Myers' recent guilty plea, Dixon's attorney, Walter Bailey said he and his client were taking that one step at a time.

Myers admitted earlier this month to passing along FBI payoffs to Dixon.

The judge said he's leaving all of November open for a trial.

Dixon's next hearing is scheduled for September 22.
