Forecasters tracking Katrina

After the hurricane nightmare Florida suffered through a year ago, Tropical Storm Katrina isn't causing much worry.

One man says he thinks it'll be "a light storm" -- even as forecasters say Katrina is getting stronger as it moves toward the peninsula. The storm is expected to be a minor hurricane when it makes land overnight, perhaps dropping a foot of rain on areas.

Katrina's track centers on the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area. But forecasters warn it could easily move a bit north or south before hitting the coast. A hurricane warning remains up from Vero Beach to Florida City.

The standard rush to stock up on supplies before a big storm isn't under way. Hardware and convenience stores are reporting normal lines. But gas stations along Interstate 95 between Miami and Fort Lauderdale says they're getting more customers than usual.
