Katrina refugees robbed in Memphis

Refugees from New Orleans received a rude welcome from Memphis.

Three families staying at the Knights Inn on Airways said not only did they have to clean their own rooms, the motel had no electricity or hot water.

To make matters worse, when they woke up Tuesday morning, they found someone had broken into their cars.

"They took our gas. They took our gas out of the gas tanks. Broke out our windows. Took our steering columns and left them. Took our stereos. We have nothing," said Samantha Johnson, one of the victims.

Johnson is also afraid she lost everything back home.

In spite of everything, Johnson said she are trying to count her blessings by being grateful she are alive and well.
