Clausen to Start, Rebs Willis SEC POW

The quarterback soap opera at Tennessee takes a new turn. Rick Clausen is now the starting quarterback. Vols Coach Phil Fulmer tabs the senior to be under center when UT takes on Florida September 17th. Clausen clearly outplayed former starter Eric Ainge, a Sophomore, in Saturday's 7-point win over U.A.B.

Fulmer said Ainge will play against the Gators as well. The two will rotate as they did against the Blazers.

Ole Miss linebacker Patrick Willis stands tall for his play against Memphis. Willis is named S.E.C. Defensive Player of the Week for his career high 15 tackles, including 10 solo stops.

Willis also caused a key fumble in the games' final 3-minutes to thwart a Tigers drive deep in Rebel territory. Ole Miss held Memphis star running back DeAngelo Williams in check. Williams was held under 100 yards rushing for only the 3rd time in his last 23 games.
