FedEx helping Katrina victims and its own employees

he Fed-Ex Corporation has set up collection points across the country to help out more than 5,000 Fed-Ex employees affected by Hurricane Katrina. In addition to aiding employees, the Memphis-based company is working with the American Red Cross, Heart to Heart International and Oprah Winfrey's Angel Network in collecting and delivering supplies for victims. The company also has donated one million dollars to the Red Cross. The company's first employee relief truck left Memphis on Saturday night and arrived in Mobile, Alabama, early Sunday morning. Later that day, a crew working on two hours' sleep set out from there for Biloxi, where seven area FedEx employees had lost their homes.
