MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Owners of the V Live strip club are scheduled to be back in Shelby County environmental court Friday to try to get their business reopened.
The club was shut down by law enforcement in June over concerns about crime, drug use, fights, gang activity, and illegal liquor sales. In the two years the club was open, investigators said it has seen two homicides and more than 64 complaint calls.
William Massey, attorney for V Live, put together a 45-page document titled 'Brief shooting statistics at random locations in Memphis TN.'
Inside the packet, Massey compiled news reports on shootings that happened near eight different nightclubs, restaurants, and lounges in Memphis that remain open.
Massey is expected to present the document in court.
