LAS VEGAS, NV (WMC) - It'd be nice to say the Memphis Grizzlies are tearing up the NBA's Las Vegas Summer League...but that would be wrong
After 3-games in the desert, it's more like the other way around.
Grizz summer squad played the Sacramento Kings Tuesday night.
The Kings boast #2 overall Draft Pick Marvin Bagley, Jr., while the Grizzlies, the Number-4 pick in Jeran Jackson, Jr.
Sounds like a great match up in the making doesn't it? Well, it would, if either one of them played.
Both teams decided to rest their prized rookies for this one.
What it did do, is give a chance for Memphis second-year forward Ivan Rabb to do his thing. Rabb working the paint for 17 points on 8 of 12 from the floor to go along with 8 rebounds, including 7 offensive.
Wayne Selden also with 17 points, plus 3 rebounds and 4 assists.
That's about the extent of it for Memphis.
Sacramento's Josh Jackson had his way with the Grizzlies, leading all scorers with 20 points.
The Kings blow open a close game in the 3rd quarter, to beat the Grizzlies.
Final 94 to 80.
Next up in the Vegas Summer League Tournament, the Grizzlies play the Oklahoma City Thunder Thursday at 5 p.m.
