CORDOVA, TN (WMC) - There's a new principal at Cordova Middle School!
Meet Charisse Wooding--the first African-American principal in the history of Cordova Middle School.
Wooding was born in New York, but moved to Memphis and is a product of Memphis City Schools. She originally wanted to go into business, but thanks to some advice from her aunt, she pursued a career in teaching which ultimately lead to become the principal at Cordova Middle School.
If you would like to meet Principal Wooding, Cordova Middle School is hosting a "Meet the Principal" event on Saturday, July 14, from noon to 2 p.m.
